Innsbruck’s most famous boys’ choir “Wiltener Sängerknaben” ranks among the most traditional and renowned of its kind in all of Europa. The probably most contemplative time of the year offers an ideal setting for this concert taking place on 27 December 2019 at the Neue Mittelschule St. Anton am Arlberg. A great musical delight!
Under the direction of Dir. Mag. Johannes Stecher, the young singers will perform a diverse selection of well-known classical works, traditional Christmas songs of the Alpine region and folk songs.
The history of the “Wiltener Sängerknaben” goes back to the 13th century. Today the choir has approximately 190 members who are active in five separate groups. Dir. Mag. Johannes Stecher teaches the specialist division of the choir up to three times a week at the Tyrolean academy of music.
