22nd Arlberg Krampus run

The Arlberg Krampus Run will take place on Thursday, 5 December 2019. At 7pm, the fascinating and scarily delightful Krampusses will roam the pedestrian zone of St. Anton and offer a fiery and wild spectacle. A truly devilish highlight! 
Starting from 2pm, Saint Nicholas will wander the streets and alleys of the village. 

The Krampus is an alarming-looking creature which appears during the Advent period in Austria. 
Originally thought to have come from the old pre-Christian myths involving beasts from the forest and creatures such as satyrs, the Krampus became linked with St Nicholas in the Middle Ages.
