HOLIDAY CAN BE SO BEAUTIFUL

Skiing holiday at the Arlberg

For over 100 years already, the Arlberg holiday region, nestling in-between the Austrian federal states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg, has been offering winter sport enthusiasts from around the globe an ideal starting point for their alpine adventures.

The cradle of alpine skiing

The very origins of Austrian winter sport culture can be traced back to the Arlberg region. From 1907 onwards, it was local skiing pioneer and instructor Hannes Schneider who revolutionised the sport with his groundbreaking new approach. During the 1930s, it was here that Konrad Doppelmayr and Sepp Bildstein erected Austria’s first ski lift.

Today the villages of St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech and Zürs form the largest interconnected skiing area within the Austrian Alpine region. It also ranks among the five largest skiing areas worldwide. One single day pass enables you to enjoy 88 state-of-the-art cableways, 305 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes and 200 kilometres of deep-snow hills. Guaranteed snow-sureness way into spring included! No other regional skiing area can really claim to be as dedicated to winter tourism as the Arlberg region.
