HOLIDAY CAN BE SO BEAUTIFUL

Skittles & bowling

At the Arlberg, skittles and bowling do not only make for an ideal bad weather program, but also have a long-standing tradition as popular leisure sports.

But how do these two activities actually differ from each other? While both are played on a 28.5 metres long lane, skittles and bowling vary in regards to the number of pins, their respective positioning and the ball. In bowling, the goal is to knock over ten identical pins, arranged in a triangular shape at the far end of the lane, using a bowling ball with three finger holes.

Many pubs and hotels still offer the opportunity to play a round of skittles. Additionally, there are plenty of other official skittles and bowling facilities at the Arlberg.
